Cot card example
For those of you who have seen my post on www.bookcrossing.com asking for cot cards for the neonatal intensive care unit in Cardiff, this is the card that was on one of my son's cots whilst he was there. The cards measure around 9cm by 9cm but they don't have to be exact. Any contributions welcome!

Early arrival
So, the sneak preview of the Stampin' Up catalogue arrived.....but so did my twin boys! WAY ahead of schedule so they are staying in hospital for now until they grow and get stronger.
I'm pretty sure they will feature in some scrapbook pages and for now, when I have any energy I am going to make name tags for the cots on the neonatal intensive care unit where they are.
More soon....

Coming soon!!
I'm excited.... counting down until the 'retirement list' comes out from Stampin' Up HQ telling us which items will be replaced with more even more exciting things. It's also a good chance to shop getting your hands on last chance items through September.
Check back in a couple of days when the list is announced!!

Post it note holder
Just to show that Stampin' Up! products are wonderfully versatile I thought I would make a non-card project. I'm always known to be frighteningly organised and am thinking ahead to birthday and Christmas presents already and thought that this would make a nice gift along with some personalised stationery. Watch this space for the rest of the set!
I used Rose Red cardstock and stamping ink, Broadsheet alphabet, shimmer ink (applied with a sponge dauber), whisper white grosgrain ribbon (stuck with sticky strip) and some stampin' dimensionals to put on the initial. Butterfly and flower are from the 'For Everything' set.

Taking the plunge!
I'm never usually one to take my time or not to try things, but somehow starting out with Stampin' Up! has me scared. But now I'm being brave.... I've posted an invite on a local company's website inviting people to contact me if they'd like to try out learning to make baby cards and birth announcements and I'm about to put up a poster at my local shop to see if I can get some interest and make some new crafting buddies. Wish me luck!

It's Easter soon!
I'd already made a lovely gift bag for some mini eggs (see my other post on the goody bag)- the smell was almost too much to resist so to save my figure I decided to make some cards instead. This card was made with subtles cardstock, fun and fast notes stamp and the paisley party stampin' around wheel (and I used the wheel guide too as I don't have a steady hand!). I then had a lot of fun colouring in the stamped image with my Stampin' Write markers. What fun!
